I pride myself on the team I bring to every job, the time I take to understand
the unique needs of each assignment, my ability to problem solve on the fly,
and the fun that we have doing it. In the last year I’ve been lucky enough to
work on shoots for clients including Amazon, AmEx, AT&T, Bose, Bank of America,
Folgers, HBO, Marriott, Netflix, Petfinder, Paramount Studios, Showtime and Suntory.
When I’m not on set, I also run a pop up music and dinner series in collaboration
with the California State Parks Department called Kensington Presents, and founded
an accelerator for other creatives called Art of Freelance. I’m a current member
of the Cinematographers Guild (IATSE Union Local 600) and also a licensed pilot.
I received a BA in Theater Directing from UCLA in 2003 and then cut my teeth
by working as a photo assistant, and then a photojournalist. Both turned out
to be amazing training grounds for the skill set and mind set that I lean on today.
My first real assignment was a dream come true: covering the 2008 elections for CNN.
After that I had independent photojournalism stories land in Time Magazine,
Rolling Stone, Newsweek, The New York Times, and a first place finish
in the International Photography Awards. I attended the Eddie Adams Workshop in 2011,
and signed with my first rep the same year. In the years since I have split my time
between lifestyle advertising for national brands, and marketing and PR work
for the major TV and Film studios.
